Telling Signs Of Dehydration

Our bodies need water in order to function more efficiently. Dehydration may affect many of the functions which may in turn affect a person’s condition. The body usually provides certain signs when it is actually dehydrated. Here are some of the telling signs that people should watch out for.

Thirst

Thirst is a sure sign that you are dehydrated. By the time you feel thirsty, it means that the body is already dehydrated. But thirst can also be a sign of other conditions such as diabetes, especially if you still feel thirsty even if you already have

Dry Skin

When you have dry skin, it may be an indication that your body may already be dehydrated. If you always apply lotion and moisturizer to your skin and it still remains dry and flaky, then it means that you are dehydrated. Rehydrated skin is a sign of a healthy skin so try to drink up water more often to make it stay that way.

Dark Colored Urine

If you went to the toilet to pee and see yellowish colored urine, then it might be a sign that you don’t have enough water that your body needs. You may be seriously dehydrated if the color becomes dark brown. You might need to drink up some water as soon as possible.

Increased Heart Rate

If you experience a rapid heartbeat, it may also be a sign of extreme dehydration. It may also be a serious sign that your body is telling you. If you feel one or more of these signs, your body may be telling you that it needs water. While one of the signs may also indicate other conditions by itself, a number of the telling signs occurring at the same time will indicate that your body lacks the essential liquids that it needs. To avoid them, make sure that you take at least from 7 to 8 glasses of water daily to make sure that you avoid dehydration as much as possible.
